"We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to love an imperfect person perfectly"

Sam keen:1997

All characters have their own tale. Some are or pining over a lost moment or a memory. Some are after answers that the viewers don't know the question to. Others have a secret that they are not willing to share. Generally the characters exist in our world and interact with our symbols of found or made items yet are oblivious to their surroundings: only acknowledging themselves and their thoughts.

The pieces differ with what they hold. Some have symbols of love, lost, unrequited even jilted. Some are more playful handling fish, birds or butterflies. All with their own meanings that I make associations with.

They are individual, their stories all different and with different perceptions and understanding/association of symbols from viewers gives a range of interpretation, their stories are suggested for the viewer to build up their histories.

I run a weekly drop in ceramic workshop on a Monday night at the Long Eaton Art Rooms, NG10 4LD 6.30-8.30, first session is FREE and is run on a  drop in pay as you go basis, phone or email for more details.

Look forward to hearing from you.
