PEAK DISTRICT ARTISANS is a highly successful group of some of the very best professional artists, designer makers and contemporary artisans based in and around the Derbyshire Peak District. Contemporary British folk artist Sue Prince has a unique take on life and society, in a digital world of kittens, she responds differently by painting about people and their places in traditional egg tempera – it’s like folk music only in paint. www.sueprinceartist.co.uk Steve Elliott's atmospheric pastel paintings are inspired by the landscape of the Derbyshire Peak District.  Hill-tops, moorlands and open spaces are depicted in vibrant colour, creating expressive, light-filled images which exploit the versatility of the medium to the full.  www.steveelliott.net.  Vivien Wilson is a botanical artist inspired by the diversity of plant life in the Derbyshire countryside. She paints flowers, fruit, blossom and berries in glowing watercolour. Vivien's illustrations are regularly published by The Woodland Trust and other conservation organisations. /Brian Robinson uses watercolour and specialises in painting subjects that have fallen into disuse such as steam trains and old vehicles. For him it is all about the atmosphere surrounding them and he focusses on capturing the poignancy of their dereliction. www.thestudio-online.net   Maggie Robinson loves to create landscape paintings that capture the musical qualities of melody, harmony and rhythm. Mark Langley is inspired by the local countryside.Originals and prints of animals, landscapes and architecture are available. He exhibits widely, both in group and one man shows.      An energetic collective that is self-run and self-funded, PDA represents the finest in rural and urban creativity at its diverse best and a visit to any of it's group events are sure to delight and inspire visitors. We invite all to come and join us over the DOA weekend.

Directions: 
Beechenhill is 1 mile up a steep hill north of Ilam. Go past the school and when the hill levels out at the top the farm is first on the left down a farm drive. Park in the first yard.
